BIO

Lesley began her career as a creative artist at the age of three as a dancer and then a musician five years later.

She graduated with an HBA in ballet, modern & choreography at York University and received a certificate in Writing & Performance in Comedy at Humber College, Toronto. She also took writing classes for the stage & screen at George Brown College and embellished her clown by studying and performing improv at Second City and with the clown duo, Mump & Smoot.

Lesley is an eternal student of comedy making her family, friends and even strangers laugh on a daily basis. She began her stand-up comedy career in New York City and travels to various cities to perform. Lesley also regularly performs in theatre as well. Her favourite role is Suzette in the farce “Don’t Dress for Dinner”. For Toronto FringeKids, Lesley has written and performed in two children’s musicals “Zucchinis! Zucchinis! Everywhere!” and “The JellyBean Forest”. For FringeGrown-ups, Lesley co-wrote and performed in a variety show called “When I Grow Up: a personal narrative”. She toured her most recent one-woman show "How I Lost One Pound, the musical” in Fringe Festivals across Canada. Her YouTube channels hosts her short films that she wrote such as “Shit Dieters Say” and as well as “Seagulls” featuring her Bobblehead.

When she grows up, Lesley would like to record a song, make a music video and be a “One Hit Wonder” because, like she tells her children, rock stars don’t really have to sing that great. But for now, Lesley will just work on writing her next musical and making her documentary.
